Program for senior citizens

From generation to generation: our volunteers created a special program for senior citizens, to activate them and to learn from their experience.

O_KAZ: new literature about Kazimierz

Jewish Culture Festival commissioned three novels about Kazimierz to be written by three young authors. Project supported by the City of Krakow.

Jewish cemetery in Jędrzejów

The Machers cleaned the area of former Jewish cemetery in Jędrzejów – it was an initiative of one of the volunteers, native from Jędrzejów. It was supported by the National Heritage Board as well as the Municipality of Jędrzejów.

Paint it Over!

Paint it Over! We Say No to Hate Speech. Krakow Against Anti-Semitism is financed from the EEA grants operated by the Stefan Batory Foundation as a part f the program Citizens for Democracy.

Festival murals in Kazimierz

During 23rd and 24th festivals we created two murals in Kazimierz. They are not only great pieces of art but also a visible reminders of the JEwish identity and Jewish presence in Kazimierz.

March of Remembrance

Annual March of Remembrance is organized jointly with the Krakow Mayor’s Chancellery on the anniversary of the Krakow gheto liquidation.

Festival on tour

Jewish Culture Festival in Krakow promotes Jewish culture from Poland in other countries. So far we were in Brussels, Tel Aviv and San Francisco.

Kutiman: Thru Krakow

Israeli multimedia artist and musician created a video clip promoting festival and the city of Krakow, commissioned by the Jewish Culture Festival Society. The result went far beyond everyone’s expectations.

Małopolska. And Everything is Allright!

Since 2013, Małopolska Region has been the main partner of the festival as a part of the program Małopolska. And Everything is Allright. We are proud of the multicultural heritage of our region and will be honored to host you in Krakow – the capital of Małopolska.

Festival Quarter

Quarter was the main theme for the 25th anniversary edition of the festival. Especially for this purpose we built our festival quarter – complex of light pavillions that we filled with program events addressed to inhabitants of Kazimierz and festival guessts.

Family Album

This is a portrait of Kazimierz in many historical moments, created with the photographs from private collections of those, who have lived in this quarter.

MuLaKuŻ: New Jewish Music Out of Poland

Festival’s first CD presents Jewish music from Poland, created by the youngest generation of musicians, for whom Jewish music and culture is a source of very creative inspirations.

The Machers for Kazimierz

When they are not heling us with the festival, our volunteers implement their own projects, sharing their interests and experience with our audience in the Cheder Cafe.
