Teder is one of our main Israeli partners. Many times we hosted Teder-DJs at the festival (see the video at the bottom of the page), but also we send Polish DJs to play in Teder pop-up bar. Right before Rosh Hashana Kuba Robert Gordon and Burn Reynolds from Poland played next to Israeli Teder residents: Amor Egozy and Markey Funka. At the end of this pre-Jewish New Year party there was a great music jam featuring Kutiman, Shai Tsabari and A-WA.

Judah – a character from Pil Peled’s mural painted during the festival in Kazimierz – was present at the party on visuals created by ElektroMoon and t-shirts, building additional link between Tel Aviv and Krakow.

Easy Cheesy and MLDVA represented the festival during a series of Hanukkah DJ-parties in Bay Area. The greatest one took place in the Hillel Club at the Stanford University. For many participants of this party it was a first meeting with Poland, Polish DJs and Polish-Jewish culture. They all partied until the dawn, dancing to the Jewish, Balkan and Turkish music played by Polish DJs. Latkes and donuts were served there as well.

The other two parties took place in a popular dance bar in downtown San Francisco – Make Out Room. Easy Cheesy and MLDVA played next to the most popular Bay Area DJs.

Series of Hanukkah parties in California were sponsored by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with Taube Foundation for Jewish Life and Culture, and Hillel at Stanford.

In NOvember 2012 we visited Brussels, in the very heart of the European Union. Meeting with Janusz Makuch, director of the festival, ws followed by the concert with Bester Quartet. The event was organized  in one of the most beautiful theatres in Belgium: Theatre Saint Michel. In the foyer we set up the exhibition designed by Polish artists Karolina Pospischyl, that presented the festival to the guests: members of the European Parliament.

Bester Quartet played the music from their recent album ‘Metamorphoses’, published by Tzadik record company in 2012. This music was composed especially for 22nd JEwish Culture Festival and inspired by the music of well known Jewish composer from Kazimierz – Mordechai Gebirtig.

That was the firt so far presentation of the festival for such an important international forum: representatives of the Euroepan Parliament and other European institutions. We were also interviewed by many newspapers and radio-stations, including the largest JEwish radio network in Beneluz countries: Radio Judaica.

The festival was invited to Brussels by the Polish Embassy in Belgium and Polish Permanent Representation of Poland in Brussels. It was a part of Janusz Korczak Year.
